Psalm 27:14

“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD”

When we are in a difficult situation,  waiting is often the hardest part. We want God to deal with our situation right away because we are experiencing hardships and it seems that we will almost lose the battle. But in this verse that we have today, we see the help of God.

“To wait” means to patiently endure the situation, while waiting on God by faith to act upon your situation. His silence sometimes never means that you are alone, or that He has abandoned you. He is there and He will always be there.

As we experience this ongoing pandemic, God expects His people to trust in Him. He wants us to wait on Him, and He does not give us just the command wait, but He also promises that He will strengthen our hearts. So, when you feel like you can’t keep going anymore, God’s strength is always fresh for you so that you will be able to bear your present burdens.

Don’t let your situation or Satan win over your faith in God. We need to abide in Christ daily. And as we continuously abide in Him, our inner heart is empowered, and our courage is enlarged to face this pandemic.

So, fellow Christians, we need to take God and His Word by faith and with confidence that He will fulfill what He had promised. And the only way we can do that if we keep close to God and to our duty as Christians. We need to be in the Word of God and in daily prayer. And we need to have a humble resignation to His will, that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Wait, I say, on the LORD!
