Mercy Every Morning

USED WITH PERMISSION

David experienced a great difficulty in life when king Saul sought to kill him. He had to run always and hide from places to places so that king Saul will not have the opportunity to take his life. But no matter how difficult his life was, he did not grumble to God about his situation. David knew who God is.

In Psalm 59:17 he said, “Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of mercy.” Everytime he woke up, he knew that God is his strength, defence, and mercy. It was God who always keep him safe and alive.

This is an example of right focus. When we focus always on our daily experience in life, we find that difficulties seem so great and heavy and we forget to sing in the morning the love and mercy of God in our lives.

But when we focus on who God is and remember his promises from His word, we will find ourselves bursting with joy and gladness knowing that God is always there. His mercy is always there every morning.

Let us start our day on spending time with God always and start to remember all the things He hath done for great is His faithfulness.

Psalm 59:16 “But I will sing of thy power; yeah, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.”
