Almost 100 Rattlesnakes!
When you were a child, did you ever have a fear of there being something, or someone, under your bed at night? Recently, a rescue worker at the Sonoma California County Reptile Rescue received an emergency call from a nearby homeowner claiming that there were rattlesnakes under their house!
It took a couple of visits, but the worker managed to find almost 100 rattlesnakes under the house!
Rattlesnakes are considered some of the most dangerous snakes in the world. The end of their tails have a sort of rattle that they shake as a warning to predators to stay clear. In this case, the homeowner was wise to call for help.
In the Bible, Satan took the form of a ‘serpent’ when he tempted Adam and Eve. In the Book of Revelation, Satan is referred to as a ‘serpent’, and for good reason. Revelation 20:2 says that, one day, Satan the serpent will be bound in the bottomless pit for 1,000 years, and verse 10 says that Satan will be cast into the Lake of Fire for ever and ever. Oh, happy day!
But today, Satan is very much alive and well on planet earth, and he is causing strife and heartache for God’s people. Our only defense is Jesus Christ, who, if we ask Him to help us, is still able to calm the troubled waters and bring peace to our hearts. You and I would be wise to call upon the Lord when we sense the evil workings of Satan.
Isa 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
