Strange and Unusual STORIES

On Fire for God!

Reverend Simon Beach, of St Budeaux Parish Church in Plymouth, England, was preparing a pre-recorded sermon for his parishioners when he got too close to one of the candles and his sleeve caught on fire.

The good Reverend was finishing up his sermon when the accident happened, and was heard saying, “Oh dear, I’ve just caught fire.”

He wasn’t hurt, and it is a bit humorous, but more than that it teaches a great truth, that Christians EVERYWHERE need to ‘catch fire’ for God and let Jesus be seen in them!

Every great Christian revival throughout history can be traced back to where a few Christians got on fire for God and started to PRAY for God’s mighty power to come into their churches.

Folks, we’re sure these are the Last Days before Christ comes in the Rapture to take us home to heaven.  So, let’s all try to ‘catch on fire’ for Jesus by spending time with Him DAILY in the Prayer Closet!  Let’s PRAY by faith and LIVE by faith so that others will see Jesus in us!

Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
