In July 2019 in Clearwater Beach, Florida, 24-year-old Serina Wolfe went into the Clear Sky Café and ordered a small meal, but then paid for the meal and left the waitress a $5,000 tip!!!

But what appeared as an amazingly generous gesture turned out to be an act of revenge!  She had had an argument with her boyfriend when he refused to buy her an airplane ticket back to New York.  Serina then used his credit card as a weapon to get back at him.

It’s sad when people use things as weapons to hurt other people.

Sometimes, people use the Word of God as a weapon to hurt others.  Married people sometimes do this.  He tells her that the Bible commands her to obey him, and she fires back that the Bible commands him to love her.

God never intended His Bible to be used as a weapon.  When we use the Bible as a hand grenade, the only winner is the devil.  Actually, God tells us how the Bible is to be used:

Ephesians 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

So, let us never make the mistake of using God’s loving Book to hurt and wound each other.
