Back on April 11, 1970, the Apollo 13 spacecraft was launched into outer space with the goal of landing on the moon. Two days into the mission, an oxygen tank aboard the spacecraft exploded, crippling one of the modules! The explosion exposed the 3-man crew to lethal levels of C02 gas!
Dozens of Nassau’s greatest minds scrambled together on earth and went to work on the problem. Despite having billions of dollars’ worth of space-age technology at their disposal, they came up with Duct Tape as the answer to repairing the C02 removal system! Canadian Comedian, Red Green, often refers to Duct Tape as “The Handyman’s Secret Weapon”, and now we know why.
God has given to His children another type of ‘secret-weapon’ called Prayer. For the Christian seeking to live for God, prayer is an essential ‘life-tool’ that brings about the mighty power of God into everyday life situations. This includes: the saving of lost souls, the comfort of the oppressed, the healing of the sick, and answers to problems, and protection against evil and a host of other good things!
Every day it seems the devil is gaining more control in the lives of people, and things that happen. That’s why every Christian needs to be making the MOST use of our secret weapon – the weapon of prayer!
