Cry Out to God

Cry out to God

Psalm 138:3

“In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.”

King David had a sweet and close relationship with God. He had this confidence that every time he cried to God; the LORD will hear him. David had been in affliction many times, but he never forgot that God is always there to strengthen and help him. Because of his tremendous closeness with God, the Bible calls him a man after God’s own heart.

As Christians, we must seize this enormous opportunity to come to God and cry for help from Him. Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” God longs to spend time with His people, but the problem is always with us. We don’t pray as often as we should. We don’t read our Bible as often as we should. Our relationship with God should not be like that, however, we can still change that. We can change it now by God’s grace.

With the spread of COVID-19 around the world, it is not unusual to feel abandoned. However, this is not the time to faint and lose hope. Let us come boldly unto the throne of God's grace and cry out to Him with confidence that He will answer, and He will help and strengthen us. Let us learn to cry out to God.
