THE 112 Bible Doctrines Survey I
This course will examine the first 4 major doctrines of the Christian faith: Bibliology, Theology Proper, Christology, and Pneumatology.
THE 122 Bible Doctrines Survey II
This course will examine the last 6 major doctrines of the Christian faith: Anthropology, Hamartiology, Soteriology, Ecclesiology, Angelology, and Eschatology.
THE 142 Biblical Ethics
This course is designed to teach students how to deal with difficult ethical values and issues in society and ministry today. The course will explain six ethical positions and the positives and negatives of each position. We will apply these six ethical approaches to various situations present in society. The student will be required to think through these ethical positions in light of the possible approaches, discuss their views in the classroom, and then come to a personal and specific biblical position.
THE 121 Bibliology
This course is a systematic study of the doctrine of the Bible. Contrary views will be brought under the spotlight of the written Word of God. The Scriptures are upheld as our final authority.
THE 232 Theology Proper
Theology Proper is the study of the doctrine of God, His existence, Person and works. Ourcourse employs the systematic approach. Contrary views will be cited at times which helps with clarifying the proper view. The Scriptures are upheld as our final authority.
THE 222 Christology
This course is a systematic theological study of the biblical doctrine of Christ. From eternity past, His preexistence is studied, how He entered the world through the Virgin Birth, His two natures, both human and divine and His works with a detailed focus on the Gospel. Practical lessons will be taught throughout.
THE 242 Pneumatology
This course is a systematic study of the doctrine of the Holy Spirit. Contrary views will be brought under the spotlight of the written Word of God. The Scriptures are upheld as our final authority.
THE 312 Anthropology/Hamartiology
The term anthropology is based on the Greek word anthrōpos, thus, the study of man. The term hamartiology is based on the Greek word hamartia, thus, the study of sin. This course is a systematic study of the doctrine of man and sin. Contrary views will be brought under the spotlight of the written Word of God. The Scriptures are upheld as our final authority.
THE 352 Contemporary Theology
This course provides a look at the various positions today, from fundamentalism to modernism (liberalism). Special emphasis will be given to the challenges facing fundamentalism. Attention will be given to a Biblical philosophy of separation, Biblical warnings about false teachers, and a Biblical pattern for ministry in light of an ever-changing religious landscape.
THE 322 Soteriology
The term soteriology is based on the Greek word soteria, thus, the study of salvation. This course is a systematic study of the doctrine of salvation. Contrary views will be brought under the spotlight of the written Word of God. The Scriptures are upheld as our final authority.
THE 412 Ecclesiology
Ecclesiology is the study of the doctrine of the Church. Our course employs a systematic approach. Contrary views will be cited at times which helps with clarifying the proper view. The Scriptures are upheld as our final authority.
THE 432 Survey of Religions and Cults
This course is designed to give the student a brief understanding of the major religions and cults that are found throughout the world. The backgrounds, statistics, and belief systems will be explored so that the student may be able to think critically and with understanding for future ministries and Christian witness.
THE 422 Eschatology
The term eschatology is based on the Greek word eschatos, thus, the study of last things. It looks at prophecy concerning those things which are to come. This course is dispensational in approach in that it distinguishes the Church from the nation of Israel. This distinction is vital to the understanding of God’s program for the future. It is also based on sound hermeneutics which gives consistency in interpretation. Of course, it is the teaching of the Bible concerning those matters yet future that every faithful student must focus on.
THE 442 Advanced Theology
Advanced Theology is designed to take a summary look at the major doctrines of the Bible and the theological systems used by various Christian groups around the world. This course is designed to guide the students in what they believe.
