Meanwhile, onlookers said that as the thief started to vandalize the police car, he was heard shouting, “I love Jesus”.

Throughout the last 2,000 years, many people have claimed to love Jesus and then done some pretty bad stuff.  The thief on Hollywood Boulevard is one of them.  And by the way, he was arrested.

The Catholic Church claims it loves Jesus, yet they ordered the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of people during the Crusades, and they martyred tens of thousands of Christians during the Reformation, and within the last 100 years they have been found guilty of numerous sexual molestations, and now recently they have been found guilty in the deaths of as many as 6,000 native Indian children here in Canada.

And one day there will stand at the Great White Throne Judgment Seat of Jesus Christ an innumerable company of lost men and women who will all try to say that they love Jesus, and yet the evidence will show them to be liars.

Mat 7:2-23 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Oh, beloved, if we SAY that we love Jesus, then let’s back up what we say with PROOF that Jesus is truly in our hearts, and with a life of good works as evidence to all.
