Strange and Unusual STORIES

He Came To Help Others

49-year-old Ian Jones was a former healthcare worker from Britain, who was working in India for a charity-backed social enterprise aimed at helping people to get out of poverty.

While in India, Mr. Jones contracted Malaria, after that, dengue fever; then he contracted Covid-19, then he was bitten by a poisonous king cobra snake, which brought on paralysis and blindness!  Needless to say, Mr. Jones almost died! Mr. Jones is shown in hospital on the right, and the left is a photo of the actual snake that bit him.

Family and friends set up a GoFundMe project and were able to get him back to Britain, but he is now facing a very long road to recovery, and we wish him well.  Here is a man who voluntarily left his home in Britain and went to India to help people in poverty.

Yet, I show you another: the Son of man, who voluntarily left His home in heaven and came to this world 2000 years ago, to help people enslaved under sin.  And while here on earth, He was beaten and crucified and bitten by the poisonous fangs of sin; He died on the cross for our sins.

But Jesus needed no GoFundMe project, for God raised Him from the dead, and He is in heaven today, interceding for us before the Father.  And He will come back for us one day and take us to heaven!

1Ti_1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
