An interesting bit of news out of the Vatican. Thousands of people were gathered in St. Peter’s Square, waiting for the Pope to make his appearance at the Apostolic Palace, and they waited… but no Pope. Finally, he showed up and said that he had been stuck in the Vatican elevator for 25 minutes! Apparently, there was a power failure.
Every year, thousands of people get stuck in elevators all over the world. Perhaps you’ve been one of them. Every minute in a stuck elevator seems like an eternity. But then again, there are even MORE people stuck in the ‘elevator-of-life’ – they don’t seem to be going up or down, or anywhere, they’re just stuck.
What do I mean by this? Some people feel stuck in a job, or in a marriage, or in a school, or in a city or out in the country. But listen, it just may be possible that God, in His love and wisdom, has that person stuck (so to speak) so that they will turn their hearts towards Him, and seek Him in prayer!
Do you ever feel somewhat ‘stuck’ in life? Then turn your heart to the Lord in prayer!
Psa 27:7-8 Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.
