New Year’s has come and many of us have probably planned out what we are going to do for the whole year. I can imagine a list of ‘do’s and don’ts’, maybe a plan for a vacation, or a plan for different activities. We spend so much time and plan hard so that it will be all workout.
However, because we are blind to what lies ahead of us, our lives should be constantly lived by faith. Not only that but, as Christians, rather than living our lives for the things of this world, we should make sure that our lives are spent for the glory of God.
How can we live in a constant walk of faith in Christ? Well, the Bible says, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). This passage does not only speak about salvation but also gives us the idea that the source of our faith is from God and His Word. Hence, living a life in a constant walk of faith in Christ is only possible if we are rooted and grounded in the Word of God. Colossians 2:7 says, “Rooted and built up in him and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.”
Dear friends, let us not fear and worry for tomorrow because God is already there. Let us commit our ways unto the LORD and trust in Him.
2 Corinthians 5:7 “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
